Wiim introduces a new amplifier to their product line
WiiM, the global technology company offering premium smart home experiences through simple and affordable connected AI products, launches today their second streaming amplifier, WiiM Amp Pro.
The WiiM Amp Pro, which was first announced at Munich High End earlier this year, finally goes into production this week and will begin shipping in small quantities before the end of October.
The Amp Pro takes the existing Amp design, but achieves a notable sonic uplift thanks to four key upgrades in the design:
- Post Filter Feedback (PFFB) technology delivers load-independent performance.
- Upgraded ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip, as used in the WiiM Ultra.
- State-of-the-art Wi-Fi 6E and BT 5.3 wireless connectivity.
- Advanced thermal management system that includes a copper, aluminium and graphene heatsink.
These upgrades have already been tested by the folks at Audio Science Review, who noted that the Amp Pro has a marked performance upgrade over the standard Amp. See their full review here.
Whether you're connecting classic passive speakers, a home theater setup, or a vintage record player, the WiiM Amp Pro offers exceptional integration options. Control everything through the WiiM Home App, play music from top services like Spotify, Amazon Music, or stream from your favorite app via Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Chromecast, DLNA, LMS, Roon Ready (certification pending). Plus, enjoy hands-free operation with Alexa and Google Assistant for the ultimate convenience.
The standard Amp will continue in the range, as it continues to offer class-leading features and sound-performance for an unbelievable price. However, the Amp Pro has been introduced to service those customers who would like to take a further sonic step forward while maintaining the convenience of an integrated amplifier product.
