The 6PerspeX Balanced is a high-end turntable that brings together luxury components and advanced technologies to deliver a detailed sound performance, free from noise and interference. The sophisticated magnetically-isolated sub-chassis, sitting atop a clear acrylic plinth, is visually striking and unique within the current Pro-Ject range
Structurally, the 6PerspeX Balanced is most recognised by its beautiful transparent acrylic plinth. Sitting on three height-adjustable aluminium coned feet, the turntable takes on extra depth and visual intrigue thanks to its magnetically isolated Corian subchassis. This construction allows for the record platter to “float”, free from external resonances.
The premium belt-drive system features an in-house designed and manufactured AC drive motor, housed in a solid assembly that’s decoupled from the sub-chassis, and powered by a sophisticated DC/AC power generator. This set-up allows for clean and stable power, resulting in excellent rotational stability and minimal vibrations. Speed change between 33 and 45 RPM is handled by a simple push-button control system on top of the motor.
The 6PerspeX Balanced is fitted with a MiniXLR output connector making the turntable capable of balanced audio transmission. Pro-Ject’s True Balanced Connection concept invites users to take advantage of higher gain and reduced noise from their turntable. Pro-Ject's 'True Balanced' cable range offers you the perfect cable companion to extend this balanced signal from your turntable to a balanced-compatible phono stage.
The drive system is completed by the precision-balanced vinyl sandwich main platter, which rides on an inverted main bearing featuring a ceramic ball for liquid-smooth rotation. The platter’s 4mm thick vinyl top-layer is the perfect interface for a playing record, and eliminates the need for any form of turntable mat, which can have a detrimental effect on the sound performance of high-end turntables. The platter is finished with a threaded spindle, to accommodate the supplied record clamp.
The 6PerspeX Balanced UK SuperPack stands out thanks to its 9CC EVO HG tonearm. The 9” conical carbon fibre tube is super stiff and lightweight, allowing any attached cartridge to traverse the record groove efficiently, while also resisting any unwanted vibrations. The tonearm tube is mounted in a high-mass construction with an inverted cardan bearing using ABEC 7-quality ballraces and four stainless steel tips. With adjustability for VTA and azimuth, it’s easy for advanced users to perfectly set the tonearm for their attached cartridge.
The 6PerspeX Balanced UK SuperPack is supplied with the True Balanced-ready Pick it MC3 cartridge pre-installed. Made by Pro-Ject to exacting standards, this all-purpose cartridge delivers a powerful, dynamic sound that suits a wide range of musical genres from its aluminium housing.
Henley Says...
I am pleased to recommend the Pro-Ject 6Perspex Balanced UK Superpack for anyone seeking an exceptional turntable that combines innovative design with outstanding audio performance.
The audio quality of this turntable is remarkable. Its high-quality tonearm, coupled with a carefully selected cartridge, allows for detailed sound reproduction and an engaging listening experience. Whether you’re playing classic vinyl or modern releases, you will appreciate the depth and clarity of the music. We recently demonstrated the 6PerspeX Balanced UK Superpack at the UK Audio Show, and whilst it wasn't the most expensive turntable featured over the weekend, it was certainly the most admired.
With its combination of stylish aesthetics, superior craftsmanship, and exceptional sound quality, the Pro-Ject 6Perspex Balanced UK Superpack is a fantastic investment for anyone serious about enjoying their vinyl collection.
Moving Coil (MC) cartridges generate an electrical signal by moving a tightly wound coil between two magnets. The movement is created by the cantilever, which houses the diamond stylus at its end and rides within the modulations of a record groove.
As opposed to Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges, MC designs are more difficult to produce - but often result in a more nuanced sound. For that reason, they are also often more expensive and boast better components than MM designs.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the powerful magnet inside, Moving Coil cartridges cannot be installed on turntables with magnetic (i.e. steel) platters.

A fully balanced design principle consists of a hot and a cold (also called + and -) signal. Both the + and – signal chains effectively carry the same musical information. A True Balance amplifier can now extract the final musical information out of the +/- signals and remove all noise that could potentially be added along the transmission.
Cartridge installation takes time and requires a level of understanding for the turntable/tonearm you are fiiting to. We've put together some comprehensive advice and size guides, available here, which will help you through each step of the procedure.
However, if at any time you feel uncomfortable with the task at hand, be sure to contact us or your local retailer for assistance.
