Fortissimo (incl. F-Note VH)
The flagship of E.A.T’s range, the Fortissimo uses the mass loaded principle to deliver true high-fidelity audio and unmatched performance. With premium features throughout, the Fortissimo is a must-consider for any audiophile where budget is no concern.

Plinth

The plinth for the Fortissimo has been designed in two parts, the first being a massive mass-loaded base intended to support the platter and tonearm, this part of the plinth uses metal sand pellets to add further weight and anti-resonance properties to the turntable. The second part of the plinth consists of a stand-alone decoupled AC unit that operates as the turntables dual drive system, delivering both clean-current along with speed stability.

Both components to the Fortissimo’s chassis are fitted with large magnetic feet containing their own stabilisation system, that decouple the turntable from the surface beneath and any vibrations given off from the motor.

Platter

Like the platter used with the E.A.T Forte, the Fortissimo utilises two differing alloys stretching a massive diameter of 400mm, benefiting the turntable with improved stability and anti-resonance properties. The Fortissimo the incorporates 12 brass inserts around the edge of the platter, along with a top brass plate that provide additional weight and further alleviate the platter, offering enhanced speed stability as well as lending the turntable a unique aesthetic that is sure to catch the eye.

TPE (thermoplastic elastomers) damping is then contained in the underside of the platter, reducing any variances and improving the tolerances of the turntable. The final aspect of the Fortissimo’s platter is the layer of vinyl that is melted on top to provide a smooth, stable surface on which to place your records.

Tonearm

The Forte comes fitted from factory with an E.A.T F-Note tonearm featuring cardanic construction and low friction bearings[;] however, if you were interested in the Forte with a different tonearm, the Forte is also available under special order with the E.A.T C-Note or without a tonearm at all. Please enquire to hear more about the options.

Cartridge

The Forte comes supplied from the factory with an E.A.T Jo No.8 moving coil Cartridge. The E.A.T Jo No.8 cartridge in manufactured using the highest quality materials, including a solid chestnut body and TPE suspension. The Jo No.8 cartridge utilized a nude Shibata diamond profile situated on a boron cantilever; this combination ensures high levels of detail are translated from the record groove and sounds as good as the cartridge looks. Further enhancements to audio performance come from the 8N pure copper coil used in the cartridges generator system, improving the dynamics and signal from the output.

The Performance series by E.A.T. consists of the brand's flagship turntables in various configurations for various suitabilities and requirements. The Performance series is a true exercise in pushing the limit of what is possible in Hi-Fi and translating a signal from the record groove into audible noise.

Both models, the Fortissimo and Fortissimo S, benefit from E.A.T's F-Note tonearm and Jo No.8 cartridge, which bring out the finest details and clarity in the turntable's performance. The Forte, further enhanced by a stand-alone decoupled dual drive system, delivers a clean current to the turntable, ensuring an immersive and high-quality sound. The Forte S, with the dual drive system positioned on the central plinth, still maintains consistent speed stability, providing an equally immersive experience.

Both the Fortissimo and Fortissimo S employ oversized platters, with 12 brass inserts to add mass and provide further stabilisation to the turntable; however, the finish of the brass also perfectly complements the platter's aluminium, lending the turntable a luxurious appearance.

The level of customisation available with the Fortissimo and Fortissimo S allows users to fully tailor the turntable to the remainder of your system and environment, meaning you get the turntable you want with no sacrifice. This completely fits in with the philosophy of E.A.T., where a turntable should look and sound extraordinary, with neither coming at a detriment to the other and is why the turntables receive high footfall at any exhibition we attend.
