Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
The plinth for the Forte makes use of the mass loaded principle and employs a large heavy chassis that provides great levels of stability intended to support the platter and tonearm. The plinth uses metal sand pellets to add further weight and add anti-resonance properties to the turntable as well as separating the record from the electrical components of the turntable.
The Forte’s chassis is fitted with large magnetic feet containing their own stabilisation system, that decouples the turntable from the surface beneath, and any vibrations given off from the motor. The platter for the Forte S is driven by a dual motor system that assists in providing consistent speed stability.
The platter once again adopts the high-mass principle used in the chassis and is composed of two separate parts. The platters base is made using two different alloys, used to help reduce energy flow. The base of the platter spans 350mm in diameter, and has magnets integrated into the alloy to assist in decoupling from the plinth and reducing the strain on the bearings from the platters 15kg weight, ensuring playback and speed consistency.
On top of the alloy section of the platter sits a layer of melted vinyl, to provide a smooth, stable surface on which to place your records. E.A.T. also employ Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) damping in the base of the platter which assists in reducing any variances and improves the tolerances of the turntable.
The Forte is available with a wide choice of tonearm options, including the flagship E.A.T. F-Note. When installed with an F-Note, the performance is exceptional and truly worthy of the turntable's high-end status. To discuss your tonearm options, please use the contact form below.
The Forte is available with different cartridge options. To keep its true high-end status it is best considered with the Jo No. 8 moving coil cartridge for a truly unrivalled audio experience. However, to discuss your specific requirements please contact us using the form below.

Henley Says...
The Performance series by E.A.T. consists of the brand's flagship turntables in various configurations for various suitabilities and requirements. The Performance series is a true exercise in pushing the limit of what is possible in Hi-Fi and translating a signal from the record groove into audible noise.
The Forte and Forte S models, with their oversized platters and mass-loaded plinths, provide a tranquil and focused listening experience. The sturdy surface of the record and the absorption of unwanted vibrations result in an extremely quiet device, allowing the cartridge to speak with unparalleled clarity and focus.
Both models, the Forte and Forte S, benefit from E.A.T's F-Note tonearm and Jo No.8 cartridge, which bring out the finest details and clarity in the turntable's performance. The Forte, further enhanced by a stand-alone decoupled dual drive system, delivers a clean current to the turntable, ensuring an immersive and high-quality sound. The Forte S, with the dual drive system positioned on the main plinth, still maintains consistent speed stability, providing an equally immersive experience.
Both turntables are a benchmark of how turntables should act and sound. If you can audition one, take advantage of the opportunity. It is an absolute treat when we get the chance to set one up in our demo room and have a listen, and they have both since become an integral part of our reference level system.
