Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.

Despite being one of EAT’s more inexpensive models, the C-Major is anything but a budget offering. Making use of a more traditional ‘frame design’ with a carbon-fibre sub-chassis, along with an extensive array of other premium features, this meticulously designed turntable, delivers both improved sonic performance and a unique modern aesthetic.
The C-Major draws its design inspiration from the larger C-Sharp model. As a result, the base layer is made of the same stable MDF, finished to a high standard, which houses the turntable's motor system in a slightly smaller chassis. Mounted within the base is an MDF/Carbon Fibre sandwich chassis that carries the tonearm and bears the weight of the high-mass platter. This sub-chassis layer is decoupled from the base by TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) cones, for ultimate decoupling of the playback platform from the motor system.
For protection when not in use, the C-Major is also supplied with a removable dust cover as standard.
Like the C-Sharp, the C-Major makes use of a vinyl-topped aluminium platter, finished with a high-quality record clamp. Despite its smaller size in comparison to the C-Sharp, this assembly still delivers excellent technical performance and rock-solid rotational reliability.
The turntable has been fitted with E.A.T’s technically sophisticated 9-inch C-Note tonearm. The C-Note incorporates both aluminium and carbon fibre into its Unpivot design for increased rigidity along with dexterity, ensuring playback is smooth and any unwanted motor vibrations are not transported through to the cartridge.
The construction of carbon-fibre and aluminium used in the C-Note tonearm combines perfectly with the C-Major's own mix of carbon fibre and aluminium, providing not only improved anti-resonance properties, but a striking visual appeal.
The C-Major is supplied with the award-winning Ortofon Quintet Blue moving coil cartridge pre-installed. The Quintet Blue is well known for its smooth reproduction, and excellent rhythmic timing that would work wonderfully with a wide array of music.
The impressive dynamic performance of the Quintet Blue adds further enhancement to the already rich and detailed reproduction of the turntable.
Henley Says...
The Key series by E.A.T. is an excellent introduction to the brand and the various principles incorporated into its turntables that make the range so sought after. With meticulous attention to build quality and detail, the Key series is a fantastic source of true musical enjoyment with deluxe aesthetics, providing a sense of reassurance and confidence in its quality.
Whilst many of the turntables on offer from E.A.T. focus on adding mass to the deck to add stability, the C-Sharp and C-Major take a slightly different approach. Instead, these models utilise a traditional frame design that incorporates an isolated sub-chassis into its build, assisting with decoupling the top layer of the turntable from the bottom. This helps to separate the components that make direct contact with the record from those that are crucial for the operation of the turntable, but in doing so, it also creates unwanted vibrations.
The C-Sharp goes beyond the norm by incorporating Hi-Fi principles. It uses an external A.C. generator to deliver a clean power source to the turntable and a heavy aluminium platter that provides a solid surface for your records. This advanced technology ensures a high-quality audio experience, keeping you informed and educated about the benefits of Hi-Fi principles.
Both the C-Sharp and C-Major turntables boast sleek, elegant aesthetics. The carbon-fibre sub-chassis, which perfectly matches the C-Note tonearm, adds a touch of sophistication. These turntables are not just for playing music but also for enhancing the visual appeal of your space, leaving you impressed and attracted to their design.
